摘要
发现高频CO2激光脉冲写入的新型长周期光纤光栅的谐振波长对特定圆周方向的横向负载不敏感,谐振峰幅值随横向负载而线性变化;而且这种长周期光纤光栅的谐振波长随温度变化而线性变化,谐振峰幅值对温度变化不敏感。由此设计而成的可调增益均衡器可实现谐振波长和幅值的动态独立调节,能很好地满足均衡掺铒光纤放大器增益谱的需要。
Abstract
A novel tunable gain equalizer based on the long period fiber gratings written by high frequency CO 2 laser pulses was demonstrated. The resonant wavelength and resonant peak amplitude of the gain equalizer can be tuned by means of adjusting the temperature and transverse load independently. In addition, the wavelength and the peak amplitude have a good linearity with temperature and transverse load respectively, showing that this tunable equalizer is a practical approach to realize dynamic gain equalization in Erbium doped fiber amplifier systems.
