Performance of Cr, Yb:YAG Self-Q-switched Laser
摘要
用连续钛宝石激光器作为抽运源,在室温下实现了Cr,Yb:YAG晶体的自调Q激光输出。实验过程中,获得了在1.03μm平均功率为35mW和脉宽(FWHM)为0.4μs的自调Q激光。实验表明Cr,Yb:YAG晶体确实把Cr4+离子的可饱和吸收特性和Yb3+的激光增益特性结合到了一起,实现了自调Q激光输出,使Cr,Yb:YAG晶体成为一种新型的全固化自调Q激光晶体。
Abstract
Using cw-Ti:sapphire laser as pumping source,the self-Q-switched Cr,Yb:YAG laser has been demonstrated at room temperature. An averageoutput power as much as 35 mW at 1.03 μm with a pulse width (FWHM) as short as 0.4 μs was abtained. The laser experiment demonstrated that theCr, Yb:YAG crystalexactly combines the Cr4+ saturable absorber and Yb3+ gain mediuminto one. And Cr, Yb:YAGcrystal can be a most promising self-Q-switched laser crystal for compact, efficientsolid-state lasers.
