LCoS is a kind of extremely small active matrix liquid crystal display device that operates in reflective mode. And the active matrix is fabricated on a silicon chip using CMOS technology. It has both small size in volume and high resolution for display. In this paper, the structure and application of LCoS display are introduced, and how to design LCoS chip and real results are shown. At last, the future market for LCoS and its status for fabrication are surveyed.
