The structure and theory of AC powder electroluminescence(EL) are introduced. The relationship between the luminous intensity and the voltage of driving wave, and that between the lumious intensity and the frequency of driving wave, the aging mechanism are also introduced. Several driving methods of EL are discussed, and an example of its usage as back light in toys is introduced at the end.
