摘要
从光子晶体的概念出发,概述了光子晶体的特征及分类,并与自然晶体进行对比.通过引入光子晶体光纤的概念,分别介绍了光子带隙光纤与改进的全内反射光纤的基本结构及导光原理,并阐述了两类光子晶体光纤的主要特点及在通信、光器件、光信息处理等方面的应用.
Abstract
In this paper,based on the concept of photonic crystal,the characters and classification are briefly summarized.And then photonic crystal is contrasted with natural crystal.By introducing the concept of photonic crystal fiber(PCF),the structure and ligh-guiding principle of photonic band gap PCF(PBG-PCF) and modified total internal reflection PCF(TIR-PCF) are respectively introduced.In addition,the properties and applications in communications,optic devices and optical signal processing of these two kinds of photonic crystal fiber are introduced.
