Abstract
OADM technology is one of the key technologies in optical transport network. In this paper it is presented a novel OADM structure based on fiber gratings which has three advantages: the structure induces little in-band cross-talk, it can reject out-band ASE noise, it can compensate the fiber chromatic dispersion employing chirped fiber gratings. The experimental result shows that the in-band coherent cross-talk of the dropped channel and the added channel are less than -50 dB and -35 dB; the rejection of out-band ASE noise is -25 dB.
