摘要
Abstract
A novel single-Gaussian-beam magneto-optical trap with a lens and spherical mirror is proposed. Our analysis and calculations show that it can trap as many as 106 atoms with a temperature of ~330 μK. Because of its extraordinary simplicity and much efficaciousness, the proposed single-beam trapping scheme will have many applications in the experiments of atom optics with cold and dense atoms.
