利用LiNbO3电光调制器实现宽频带激光输出

摘要
利用LiNbO3电光调制器理论上可以获得宽度达100 GHz的宽频带激光输出,并且其输出激光脉冲的宽度和形状都能够由一台电脉冲发生器很方便地进行控制。报道了宽频带激光器的实验结果,利用LD泵浦的单纵模连续激光器作为光源,可获得峰值功率为4.2 mW,带宽为42 GHz的激光脉冲输出。
Abstract
Broadband laser can be obtained using a LiNbO 3 electro optic phase modulator, furthermore, the width and the shape of the broadband laser pulse can be easily controlled by an electrical pulse generator. It is reported in this paper that using a LD pumped single longitudinal mode CW laser as the light source, the peak power and the whole band width of the broadband laser pulse obtained reach 4.2 mW and at least 42 GHz respectively.
