摘要
Abstract
Stimulated Raman Scattering(SRS) effects in uni and bidirectional wavelength division multiplexing(WDM) transmission systems (with and without the cascaded EDFAs) are compared. Both numerical and analytical methods are used and the results are agreed with each other very well. It shows that the terminal behavior of SRS effects in a bidirectional system is the same as that of a corresponding unidirectional system if the locations of EDFAs are symmetrical.A new high-resolution-silver-halide (HRSH-Ⅱ) material is produced, which has proper initial hardness for fabricating silver halide sensitized gelatin (SHSG) holograms. A modified processing technique is presented, which would avoid high noise by soaking the gelatin in hot water. Experimental results for SHSG derived from this new material are presented which show high diffraction efficiency, as high as 80%, and a good spatial frequency response is achieved. The processing mechanisms for the processing technique are discussed.
