Abstract
Fluorescence properties of organic dye fluorescein with concentration of 10-4 M were studied in lead-tin-fluorophosphate (LTF) glass and TiO2containing organically modified silicate(ORMOSIL) matrices synthesized by meltingquenching technique and solgel method, respectively. Comparison to spectra of dye doped alcohol solvents, both absorption and fluorescence spectra are red shifted in the LTF glass and TiO2 containing ORMOSIL matrices. Optical nonlinear refractive index were measured by Z-scan technique using picosecond frequencydoubled Nd:YAG laser pulses.
