Crostalk in WDM SCM Systems due to SRS

Abstract
Crosstalk due to stimulated Raman scattering(SRS) in a two wavelength division multiplexing(WDM) and subcarrier multiplexing(SCM) system is analytically researched with numerical calculation. SRS effect causes more than -35dBc crosstalk at 4nm channel spacing and 2.5 GHz subcarrier frequency. The comparison with crosstalk from cross phase modulation(XPM) shows that SRS crosstalk is about 20 dB larger than that of XPM for ordinary channel spacing.
