摘要
Abstract
Self-magneto optic Q switching operation of a Nd:BGO laser endpumped by a CW 500 mW laser-diode has been demonstrated. Nd:BGO is a promising laser material that combines the excellent laser properties of Nd3+ ion with the magneto-optic properties of BGO, this permits the desgin of interesting self-Q-switched laser devices. The device operates at the repetition rate of 1 kHz with pulse energy of ioJ and pulse duration of 100 ns. The fluctuation of shot to shot intensity is less than ±1%.
