正向抽运脉冲染料激光放大时间特性研究

摘要
主振荡功率放大是获得高功率脉冲染料激光的有效模式,染料激光脉冲在放大过程中,与抽运激光脉冲的时序匹配是获得高效转换的基本条件之一。采用速率方程对高重复频率、调Q和倍频Nd:YAG激光正向抽运脉冲放大过程进行了数值模拟,研究了实际应用中,抽运激光脉宽大于染料激光脉宽条件下的放大过程的时间特性。结果显示,当最佳时序匹配时,抽运激光脉冲峰值相对信号激光延迟具有纳秒量级的滞后,抽运激光脉冲越宽,滞后越多,同时,染料分子的激发受激辐射再激发的动态过程造成放大后的染料激光脉冲被展宽,分析显示采用固定抽运激光脉冲峰值位置的方法进行时序控制是可行的。
Abstract
The master-oscillator power-amplifier chain is an efficient method to obtain high power pulsed dye laser.The timing match between pumping and dye laser pulses is one of the main conditions to realize high extraction efficiency.The dye laser amplifier forward longitudinally pumped by a high-pulse-repetition,Q-switched and frequency-doubled Nd:YAG laser is simulated with rate equation model.The temporal characteristics of pulse amplification are presented with real pumping and dye laser pulse shape,where the pumping laser pulse width is longer than dye laser′s.The simulation results show that there is nanosecond delay between pulse peak of dye laser pulse and that of pumping laser pulse.The results also show that the amplified dye laser pulse is widened by the process of excitation,stimulated emission,and re-excitation of dye molecules when the pulse width of pumping pulse is wider than that of dye laser pulse.The analysis indicates that it is feasible to timing control with the method of keeping pumping pulse peak position stable.
