影响摄像机标定精度的因素分析
Analysis of Factors on the Precision of the Camera Calibration
摘要
摄像机标定是三维重建必不可少的步骤,摄像机标定结果的好坏直接决定着三维重建结果以及其他计算机视觉应用效果的好坏。研究了影响摄像机标定精度的一些因素,并给出了在这些因素影响下,摄像机焦距、主点位置、倾斜因子、径向畸变等参数的误差分布曲线。通过这些曲线可见增加特征点和标定图片数量,减小特征点提取误差,将有助于减小标定误差。研究表明,特征点数量控制在90点以上,标定图片数量在4~10之间,可以有效减少标定误差。对摄像机标定过程中合理选择标定图片数量,确定特征点数量和提取算法提供了参考依据。
Abstract
Factors that influence the calibration precision of the camera intrinsic parameter are studied in this paper. The curves of error distribution of focal length, principal point location, radial distortion and skewness factor are also obtained. Through these curves, we can get that increasing the number of the feature points and the images calibrated, decreasing the error in the extraction of the feature points would help to reduce the calibration error. The investigation shows that the calibration errors can be reduced effectively when the feature point number is more than 90, and the calibrated image number is between 4 and 10. The research may provide reference for rational selection of the number of calibrated images, and the determination of both the number of the feature points and the algorithm for feature point extraction in the process of camera calibration.
