摘要
采用高温熔融急冷法制备了系列Er3+/Tm3+共掺杂的Ga5Ge20Sb10S65玻璃,测试了样品的吸收光谱,以及分别在980 nm 和800 nm LD激发下样品的荧光光谱。运用Judd-Ofelt理论计算了Er3+离子在Ga5Ge20Sb10S65玻璃中的强度参数Ωi (i=2,4,6)、自发辐射跃迁几率A和辐射寿命τ 等光谱参数。掺杂Tm3+离子主要是为了降低Er3+∶4I13/2的能级寿命,这是因为Er3+∶4I13/2→Tm3+∶3F4两个能级之间发生了能量传递,从而增加Er3+离子在4I11/2能级与4I13/2能级之间发生粒子数反转的可能。结果表明,Er3+/Tm3+共掺杂Ga5Ge20Sb10S65玻璃随着Tm3+离子浓度的增加,2.76 μm处的中红外荧光先增强,然后有所减弱。
Abstract
Er3+/Tm3+-codoped Ga5Ge20Sb10S65 glasses were prepared by traditional melt-quenching method. Fluorescence spectra were investigated under 980 nm and 800 nm LD excitation. Combined with their absorption spectra, the Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters Ωi (i=2,4,6), spontaneous transition probabilities A and rediative lifetomes τ for Er3+ ion were calculated by Judd-Ofelt theory. Due to the energy transfer from 4I13/2 of Er3+ to 3F4 of Tm3+, the addition of Tm3+ significantly reduced the lifetime of the 4I13/2 level of Er3+, that in turn increase the possibility of population inversion between the 4I11/2 and 4I13/2 levels of Er3+. It is learned that the intensity of 2.76 μm mid-infrared fluorescence firstly increased, and then dropped in the Er3+/Tm3+-doped Ga5Ge20Sb10S65 glasses with the increase of Tm3+ ion concentration.
