钠蒸气中受激电子喇曼散射
Stimulated electronic Raman scattering in sodium vapor
摘要
本文报道了钠原子3S-4S跃迁的受激电子喇曼散射的首次观测。获得了2.38μm~2.65μm的可调谐红外输出;计算了受激电子喇曼散射的功率增益系数并测量了红外输出随染料激光频率调谐的变化,其结果符合较好;给出了泵浦功率阈值随钠蒸气压变化的实验曲线;测得光子转换效率约为30%。在此同时,观测到了钠原子4S-3P跃迁的放大自发辐射。
Abstract
The first observation of the 3S-4S stimulated electronic Raman scattering (SEES) in sodium vapor with the infrared output tunable from 2.38μm to 2.65μm is reported. The calculation for the power gain factors and the measurment for the infrared output as a function of a dye laser tunning are made and both results are in good agreement. The pumping threshold in dependence of sodium vapor pressures are measured. The photon-conversion efficiency is about 30%. Simultaneously, the amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) on the Na 4S-3P transition is aleo observed.
