文章设计了一种新型出租车计价器，基于AT89S52单片机，采用128×64点阵液晶显示模块显示运行信息。本计价器在实现传统计价器基本功能的同时，增加存储芯片，对运营资费进行独立保存；增加时钟芯片，实现本地时间的显示；设置高速和低速LED指示灯，在出租车速度过快时进行警告，低速等待时进行状态提示。文章详细介绍了硬件系统的构成及各个模块的特性以及工作原理。

A new-type of taximeter was introduced in this paper, which is based on the AT89S52 microcontroller. And the 128×64 dot matrix LCD is applied to display the information. It succeeded in metering distance, time, billing and other traditional functions. Furthermore, memory chip was added to save starting price, unit price, and other operational information independently. A clock chip was also added to display local time. Speed indicator LED is set to warn the driver if it is too fast or too slow. The system hardware structure and working principle are also elaborated in this paper.
