波长可变光网络下基于能耗感知的RWA算法

光网络的绿色节能是当前的研究热点之一, 采用能耗感知的RWA(路由波长分配)算法对业务进行配置作为一种有效的节能方法获得了广泛关注, 而现有的相关研究成果忽视了波长转换器在光网络节能方面能起的作用。文章提出了一种基于波长可变全光网络下的RWA算法——LBC-WC(基于负载计算代价的波长转换增强型)算法, 旨在利用波长转换器来使光纤能承担更多的光路, 使更多的光纤空余出来。在稀疏配置波长转换器的波长交换光网络场景下对算法进行了仿真, 仿真结果表明, 该算法能够大幅度减少网络中使用的光纤数目, 有效提高光纤利用率, 提高网络能效。
Abstract
The green energy saving of optical networks is a hot topic of current research and the power aware RWA algorithm as an effective power saving method for service assignment attracts extensive attention. However, the relevant existing research results ignore the role of wavelength converters can play in optical network power saving. This paper presents a novel power aware RWA algorithm, i.e. Load-Based Cost enhanced with Wavelength Conversion (LBC-WC), aiming at using wavelength converters to concentrate more lightpaths in fewer fibers. It conducts simulation based on wavelength switch optical network with sparsely deployed wavelength converters and the results indicate that this algorithm can significantly reduce the number of fibers used in networks, effectively raise the fiber utilization rate and improve the network energy efficiency.
