摘要
通过增大入射光线宽来提高光传输系统中的受激布里渊散射的阈值光功率。首先在理论上分析通过改变直接电流调制和电吸收调制器的调制电流能增大入射光线宽, 从而得出可以采用这两种方法来增大受激布里渊散射的阈值光功率; 然后通过实验验证了其效果。实验结果显示, 通过改变直接电流调制和电吸收调制器的调制电流, 使受激布里渊散射的阈值光功率增大了约5 dB。因此可以采用这两种方法来提高受激布里渊散射的阈值。
Abstract
The research is set to improve the threshold of Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) by increasing the width of incident light in optical transmission system. Firstly, it was theoretically found that changing the current of direct current modulation and Electro-absorption modulator can increase the width of incident light, so it can improve the threshold of SBS. Then it is proved by experiment. Finally, the result of experiment was found that the threshold of SBS has been increased by about 5 dB by changing the current of above both modulations. Therefore, those two ways can be used to increase the threshold of SBS.
