Research of 980 nm High-Speed Pulse Pumped Laser
摘要
脉冲泵浦条件下EDFA特性的研究具有重要价值,因此需要高性能的脉冲泵浦激光器。介绍了以iC-HG为核心芯片设计980 nm脉冲激光器的驱动电路,同时以DRV591为核心芯片设计脉冲激光器的温控电路,研究了脉冲泵浦激光器设计和制作中的关键问题。该激光器可以直流激光输出和脉冲激光输出,且脉冲宽度、激光功率、占空比均可调,脉冲宽度最小可达10 ns,直流光功率可达180 mW,脉冲峰值功率可达160 mW。
Abstract
The research of EDFA under the condition of pulse light pump is of great value, so high-performance pulse pumped laser is needed. We use iC-HG as the core chip and designed the driver circuit of 980 nm pulse pumping laser. The temperature controlling circuit also has been designed based on DRV591. In this paper, we discussed some important issues of the design of pulse pumping laser. The laser can provide CW light output and pulse light output, while pulse width, laser power and duty circle tunable. Pulse width can be as short as 10 ns. CW light power can reach 180 mW, and pulse laser peak power is 160 mW.
