摘要
偏振态是激光光束的重要性质之一,偏振态的控制在激光加工领域中具有重要作用。提出了利用空间光调制器(SLM)结合1/2 波片和1/4 波片,实现线偏振、圆偏振、径向偏振和角向偏振4 种偏振态的控制方法,并利用琼斯矩阵,从理论上分析了4 种偏振态与两种波片快轴与x 轴的夹角及加载到SLM 中的灰度图像的对应关系。利用检偏器和CCD 相机采集了径向偏振和角向偏振的实验图像,结果表明该方法结构简易,能够通过改变波片角度参数和SLM中图像实现4 种不同偏振态的控制。
Abstract
Polarization state is an important property of laser beam, and controlling the polarization state plays a key role in laser machining. By combining a spatial light modulator (SLM), a half-wave plate with a quarter-wave plate, polarization states, such as linear, circular, radial and azimuthal polarizations can be controlled. Effect of fast axis directions of the half- wave plate and the quarter- wave plate, and holograms loaded on the SLM on the polarization states is investigated based on theoretical derivation of Jones matrix. Using a polarizing filter and a CCD camera, intensity distributions are obtained at the radial polarization and azimuthal polarization, which are in good agreement with the theoretical analysis. The result proves that this simple method can be employed to realize the control of four different polarization states.
