螺旋扭曲力常数对常黑聚合物稳定胆甾液晶光电性能的影响

摘要
本文研究了螺旋扭曲力常数(HTP)对常黑模式聚合物稳定的胆甾相液晶(NB-PSCT)网络形貌和光电性能的影响。选用3种不同HTP值的手性剂,通过紫外光聚合诱导相分离法(PIPS)制备了具有相同螺距的常黑模式聚合物稳定的胆甾相液晶。结果表明:随着手性剂的螺旋扭曲力常数增大,聚合物网络变得致密,网络和液晶分子之间的弹性作用力增大,阈值饱和电压减小,响应过程中的关闭时间增加,迟滞宽度增大。
Abstract
The influence of the helical twisting power (HTP) on the morphology and electro-optical properties of normal-mode polymer-stabilized cholesteric texture (NB-PSCT) was investigated. In this study, PSCT was prepared by the means of polymerization induced phase separation (PIPS). The three PSCTs were in same pitch length by controlling the weight ratio of chiral dopants with different HTP, respectively. The investigated results suggested that as the value of HTP increases, the polymer networks become tighter, which leads to the reduction of the threshold voltage and saturation voltage, and the increase of the field-off response time and hysteresis width. It is attributed mainly to the stronger elastic force between the LC molecules and polymer networks.
