基于磁旋光玻璃的高效单频环形激光器设计

摘要
使用具有偏振吸收偏振发射等优良光学性能的Nd:YVO4为工作物质, 通过选用880 nm激光二极管泵浦, 降低量子亏损, 提高效率, 降低阈值和热效应, 分析了谐振腔长度和反射率对单纵模线宽的影响, 合理设计热稳定四镜环形腔。基于磁旋光玻璃MR3-2外加永久磁铁的法拉第旋转器, 结合1/2波片和工作物质的偏振发射特性构成单向器, 获得激光器单向运转。在泵浦功率为5 W时, 获得了输出功率2.75 W, 效率55%, 斜效率65%, 线宽66.7 MHz的1 064 nm激光的稳定单频运转, 2小时功率稳定度优于0.2%。
Abstract
The influence of cavity length and mirror reflectivity on single longitudinal mode line width was analyzed. Nd:YVO4 was used as gain media, because of its excellent optical properties, such as the polarized absorption and emission. 880 nm LD was used to reduce the quantum defect, improve efficiency and reduce the threshold and thermal effect. Four-mirror ring cavity with good thermal stability was designed. The permanent magnet was applied to the magnetic rotation optical glass MR3-2. Faraday rotator was realized by combination of half-wave plate and Nd:YVO4 polarized emission. The laser achieved unidirectional operation in the end. When the pump power was 5 W, the output power of 2.75 W, the efficiency of 55%, the slope efficiency of 65%, the line width of 1 064 nm 66.7 MHz, and the power stability better than 0.2% in 2 hours were obtained.
