计算机仿真多模激光在光纤内的光强分布
Study of the Light Intensity Distribution of Multimode Laser in the Optical Fiber
摘要
光纤内的激光光强分布是激光照明研究的关键内容之一。文章采用OptiBPM光学软件分别对光束半径为15、30和50 μm的单模、双模和多模激光在两层均匀结构的光纤内的传输进行了仿真计算, 仿真设置纤芯直径分别为100、120、150和180 μm。结果表明, 对于应用于照明领域的多横模大功率半导体激光器, 在耦合纤芯直径与激光束宽度相等的情况下, 光纤出射端的激光光强分布最均匀。
Abstract
The laser intensity distribution in the optical fiber is one of the key parts in the research of laser illumination. In this paper, light transmission at the optical beam radius of 15 μm, 30 μm, 50 μm in single-mode, dual-mode and multi-mode optical fiber in the two-uniform structure are investigated through simulation by optical software OptiBPM. The fiber core diameter size is set at 100 μm, 120 μm, 150 μm, 180 μm, respectively. The simulation results show that for the multi-mode of high-power semiconductor laser, the most uniform of light intensity at the exit end of the optical fiber is achieved when the width of the laser beam is equal to fiber core diameter.
