全微结构一体化背光模组设计

摘要
为了实现超薄化、高亮度、广视角和高对比度液晶显示, 设计一种包含导光和控光微结构的一体化导光板背光模型。通过这些设计方法将全部光学膜材功能集成于一体, 并且在侧入式背光模组中实现一维区域亮暗调制。首先, 设计合适角度的下表面微棱镜阵列作为导光结构, 并且在下表面镀上反射层, 反射层功能类似于普通背光模组中的反射片, 侧入式光源发出的光线进入导光板内经过微棱镜调制后, 从导光板上表面出射。接着对下表面微结构的数量和分布进行优化, 使画面亮度均匀。然后, 设计优化上表面微透镜阵列, 使发光角度收缩, 进一步提高中心亮度。最后, 将同样145 cm(5.7 in)的一体化背光模组与常规架构背光模组对比, 说明了这种背光模组具有超薄、高亮和区域调制等优势。仿真结果表明: 本文中一体化导光板背光模组厚度仅为0.5 mm, 且与常规背光模组相比, 其出光效率提高约23.3%, 水平发光角度扩大16.6%, 垂直发光角度扩大31.5%, 中心亮度提升约20.7%, 同时可以实现一维区域调制的高对比度显示, 满足显示产品的超薄化、极简化、均匀性、高亮度和高对比度等要求。
Abstract
In order to achieve slim outline, high luminance, wide viewing angle and high contrast radio liquid crystal display (LCD), a backlight model with integrated light guide plate (LGP) that contains light guide and light control micro-structures is designed. Through these design methods, the functions of all optical films are integrated into the LGP and one-dimensional local dimming modulation is able to be realized in edge-lit backlight module (BLM). First of all, a micro-prisms array coated reflective layer with appropriate size and angle are designed as light guide micro-structures on the bottom surface of the integrated LGP, the reflective layer is similar to the reflective film of normal BLM, when the light rays entering LGP, they are controlled by the micro-prisms array and exit from the top surface. Next, the number and distribution of micro-prisms are optimized to improve the uniformity. Then, the micro-lens array on the top surface of LGP is designed to shrink the beam angle and further enhance the central luminance. Finally, the same size 14.5 cm(5.7 in) of an integrated BLM and a normal BLM are compared, it conclude that the integrated BLM has many advantages, such as ultra-thin, high luminance and local dimming ability. The simulation results show that the thickness of the integrated BLM described in this paper is only 0.5 mm. Compared with the conventional BLM, the output efficiency is improved by 23.3%, the horizontal angle is increased by 16.6%, the vertical angle is increased by 31.5%, and the central luminance is improved by 20.7%, meanwhile, high contrast display can be realized through one-dimensional BLM modulation. It meets the requirements of display product for slim outlet, extremely simplified, uniform, high luminance and high contrast ratio.
