Studies on Nd:YAG Single-pass Amplifiers for High-power Q-switched Laser System

Abstract

The output of Nd∶YAG single-pass laser amplifiers is studied analytically and experimentally. Methods of analysis for single-pass Nd∶YAG laser amplifier are presented. A flashlamp-pumped Q-switched Nd∶YAG oscillator/amplifier laser system has been developed with the average output power of 121.5 W.

备注:CAO Sansong received M.S. in 1984 in Huazhong Science and Technology University in Wuhan with a thesis on study of zig-zag slab Nd:YAG laser. In 1989, he joined the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, where he worked on the single-quantum-well GaAs/AlGaAs semiconductor lasers. In 1991, he returned to China as a senior engineer working on high power solid-state lasers.
