Bend Sensing with Temperature-insensitive Long-period Fiber Grating

Abstract

The changes in wavelength and attenuation of temperature-insensitive long period fiber grating subjected to bends with curvatures from 0 to 4.4 m-1 are examined. The wavelength change with curvature is nonlinear and the minimum detectable curvature change is 0.03 m-1.

备注:HUANG Yonglin was born in Henan, in 1964. He received B.S. degree at Department of Physics, Zhengzhou University in 1986 and M.S. degree in the Institute of Modern Optics, Nankai University in 1992. Now he is a Ph.D. candidate in the Institute of Modern Optics, Nankai University. His research interests are fiber grating sensors and optical fiber communications.
