结合平衡检测器的瑞利BOTDA系统设计
Design of Rayleigh BOTDA System Combined with Balance Detector
摘要
针对传统的基于瑞利散射的布里渊光时域分析系统存在信噪比低的问题,提出了一种新的基于瑞利散射的布里渊光时域分析设计方案。采用平衡检测技术,同时利用斯托克斯边带和反斯托克斯边带的信息,输出信号功率比单端检测提高了两倍。由于两个光电二极管输入信号的等噪声特性,使用平衡检测使噪声功率增加2倍,输出信号的信噪比提高2倍。对2.4 km光纤进行实验,验证了系统的可行性,采用平衡检测技术后信号得到明显的改善。
Abstract
A novel Rayleigh Brillouin Optical Time Domain Analysis (RBOTDA) scheme is proposed to deal with the low Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) issue in traditional RBOTDA system. The output power is increased by 2 times than single-ended detection based on balanced detection with Stokes sideband and anti-Stokes sideband information. Due to the noise characteristics of two photodiode input signals, the use of balanced detection increases the noise power by 2 and the SNR is also increased by 2 . The feasibility of the system is verified on 2.4 km optical fiber. It is shown that the signal is improved obviously by using the balanced detection technique.
