摘要
提出了一种新型的基于16倍频前馈调制(FFM)技术的160GHz光生毫米波方法。以两个频率相互锁定、间隔为100GHz的激光器为光源, 通过两级前馈调制和三级光学交织选择, 产生160GHz间隔的二相相关光学边。通过高速光电探测, 实现低相位噪声的毫米波信号产生。建立了相应的理论模型, 并进行了仿真分析。理论结果表明, 该方法可以有效降低系统误码率, 提高系统效率。同时, 由于该方法结构简单、成本较低, 对光载射频通信系统具有重要应用价值。
Abstract
A novel 160GHz millimeter wave generation scheme is proposed, which is based on 16-fold frequency tuple feedforward modulation (FFM) technology. Two mutually locked lasers with a frequency interval of 100GHz are used as the light source. By two-stage of feedforward modulation and three-stage of optical interleaving, two-phase correlation optical sideband with a 160GHz interval is obtained. Then millimeter-wave signal with low phase noise is generated via high-speed photodetection. The corresponding model is established, and the performance is evaluated. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme can effectively reduce the bit error rate and greatly improve the system efficiency. Also it is of great value to the radio over fiber system due to the simple structure and low cost.
