Based on the Vernier effect of the cascaded double ring resonator (CDRR) sensor, a sensor consisting of a microfluidic control system, a sensing ring, and a reference ring with a micro-heater for thermal tuning is proposed in this paper. In wavelength interrogation, a broadband spectrometer or a large tunable range laser is not required. The shift of the output spectrum caused by the refractive index change of the sample is converted into the change of the electric power by the thermal tuning heater. Due to the Vernier effect, the sensitivity of the sensor is 20 times higher than that of the single ring. The spectral envelope of the thermal-optic tuning of the sensor was fitted by a Gaussian function in the wavelength range of 8 nm. The experimental results showed that the sensitivity was 33.703 W/RIU, and the limit of detection was 1.34×10-5 RIU.

We theoretically demonstrate a compact all-dielectric metasurface fiber-tip lens composed of sub-wavelength amorphous silicon on the end face of a multimode fiber. The full 2π phase control was realized by varying the widths of resonant units. The tunable focal length is achieved by using the thermal-optic effect of amorphous silicon. The focal length increases from 309 μm to 407 μm when the temperature changes by 300 K. The temperature controlled all-fiber integrated lens is compact and with high efficiency and provides an excellent platform of a fiber-tip lab. Meanwhile, the proposed fiber lens does not have any structural changes during dynamic tuning, which improves the durability and repeatability of the devices.

用5,5′-(六氟异丙基)-二-(2-氨基苯酚)(6FHP),4,4′-(六氟异丙基)-苯二酸酐(6FDA)和分散红19(DR19)合成了可制作光波导器件的含氟聚酰亚胺(PI-19)有机聚合物;采用示差扫描量热(DSC)、热失重分析(TGA)和近红外吸收光谱等方法对PI-19的热稳定性和光学性质进行了表征。示差扫描量热和热失重分析结果显示,PI-19的玻璃化转变温度(Tg)为256 ℃,在5%的热失重温度为380 ℃,表明具有非常好的热稳定性。近红外吸收光谱表明,材料在光通信波段(1.3 μm和1.55 μm)有2个较低吸收的“窗口”,可以用来制作低损耗的光通信器件、光开关等。制得的聚合物材料具有较大的热光系数,其值为-4.13×10-4~-3.72×10-4 ℃-1(650~1310 nm),对于研制具有低驱动功率的新型数字热光开关具有一定意义。
